ClarkDietrich FDCL FOUNDATION CLIP

USED TO SECURE RIM JOIST, STRUCTURAL TRACK, END CAPS OR PARALLEL JOISTS TO THE BUILDING FOUNDATION

The Foundation Clips are used to provide a strong, adjustable, rigid attachment of TRADEREADY® rim joist or conventional structural track to the building foundation. Foundation Clips are secured to the foundation using the elongated slots and anchor bolts. The elongated slot provides a method to adjust the positioning of the foundation clip, so it can fit securely against the rim even if the anchor bolts are not properly aligned. The prepunched leg is screw attached to the face or web of the joist. Clip Spacing is based on loading requirements.

Installation

For best results, foundation clips should be attached adjacent to perpendicular joist members and spaced per code requirements or the engineer of records specification. Secure foundation clips to building foundation using anchors calculated to resist the specific load requirement. Use steel nylon locking nuts and thread adhesive to minimize the chance of nut spin. Secure foundation clip to rim track using #10 minimum self-drilling screws.
