S973 is the 12 gauge, 3" EasyClip™ S-Series™ rigid clip. The 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" profile is the most widely stocked shape in cold-formed steel framing, used for lateral bridging U-channel attachment, jamb and header connections, and general bypass work.

- Thickness: 97 mil (12 gauge), 0.1017 in. design thickness
- Size: 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 3" (leg x leg x length)
- Legs: 1-1/2" and 1-1/2", pre-punched for screw attachment
- Material: Structural Grade 50 Type H (ST50H), 50 ksi minimum yield
- Coating: G90 (Z275) hot-dipped galvanized
- Sheet steel meets or exceeds ASTM A1003; galvanized coating meets or exceeds ASTM A653
- Common applications: lateral bridging U-channel attachment, window and door framing, corner reinforcement, stair openings
