At 7-1/4", LA977 is a 12 gauge SwiftClip™ LA-Series rigid clip with matching 3" legs. It covers the heavier end of floor joist hanger and truss work in metal stud framing, where a connection needs more fasteners than a 1-1/2" leg will hold.
